Lanolin Treatment
Lanolin is the natural waxy substance found in sheep's wool. It acts as a protective coating for wool fibers, shielding them from the elements. In our disana wool product range, you'll find a generous amount of this natural lanolin, which not only protects but also nurtures the wool fibers.
Particularly, our wool diaper pants from the disana regularly use up lanolin. However, other wool items can also lose their natural lanolin through washing or drying over time. That's why it's essential to reintroduce lanolin back into the wool fibers now and then. Our lanolin treatment is a perfect solution for this. It comes in the form of liquid wool wax that easily dissolves in lukewarm water.
After washing, simply soak your woolen item in a lanolin treatment bath. This allows the wool fibers to absorb fresh lanolin, effectively safeguarding them against dirt and the drying effects of repeated use.
Application: Shake well before use!
Re-greasing wool diaper pants:
Wash wool diaper pants with disana Wool Shampoo according to instructions.
Dissolve 2 tablespoons of disana Lanolin Care Treatment in 1 liter of lukewarm water (25°C).
Just place the wool diaper pants briefly in the lanolin bath and press them gently down so that they settle into the water. After taking them from the bath, lightly squeeze out any excess lanolin bath.
Do not dry in the sun, on the heater, or in the tumble dryer.
For new wool diaper pants, washing alone is sufficient, as they already contain an ample amount of natural lanolin.
Restoring high-quality wool clothing:
Dissolve 1 teaspoon of disana Lanolin Care Treatment in 1 liter of water. Then proceed as with wool diaper pants. Alternatively, spray onto woolen clothing in this mixing ratio.
