BabyBox Collection
Wool & Silk Wrap Bodysuit
FAQ
For newborns, we recommend size 50 from our collection. Our wrap-around bodysuit is long and slim, just right for your little ones, as they come into the world without any fat reserves at the beginning.
The size 56/62 is still much too large for a newborn.
The wrap-around bodysuit is your baby's underwear. It is worn daily and also at night. Since the bodysuit is the bottom layer against the body, you should make sure it is not too large, as your baby would otherwise have to expend extra energy to warm air pockets.
Bodysuits are available starting from size 56/62. We usually offer them starting from size 68/74. Why? Because a bodysuit needs to be pulled over the head, and we have found that this can lead to unnecessary stress during dressing and undressing, especially with the first child. With a wrap-around bodysuit, you simply lay the child inside and wrap it closed.
Recommendation
Wool & Silk vs. Cotton
Everything your baby needs at the beginning. Wool & silk should not be missing in any initial equipment. The advantages of this material are unbeatable, see for yourself.
The Wool & Silk Wrap Bodysuit from our bespoke Babybox Collection closes beautifully high around the neck, maintains its long and slim shape even after frequent washing, and is particularly gentle on the skin thanks to the silk blend.
Our products are not only beneficial for your baby but also for the environment as they do not release microplastics during washing, and we avoid the use of plastic packaging.
Our Wool & Silk Collection offers numerous advantages, including natural temperature regulation, dirt resistance, antibacterial properties, and thanks to the silk component, natural UV protection. Wool and silk clothing can be worn all year round, providing warmth in winter and a pleasantly cooling effect in summer.
Material:
- 85% Wool (Rich Blend 1424DE81W) and 15% Silk from environmentally sustainable production in Europe.
- OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified: For chemical-free and eco-friendly production.
- Mulesing-free wool: Ethical and sustainable sourced from responsible origins.
Our Tip: Add lanolin to your wool detergent every 2-3 washes. This helps the wool retain its natural oils, keeping it soft and cuddly for a long time.

Wool & Silk
Our recommendation to always read the care instructions in the respective garments, the special composition of the manufacturer and the origin of the materials often require individual care.
Basically, you should use a laundry bag for your wool laundry, this reduces the friction on the washing machine drum and thus the risk of felting. Textiles made of wool/silk do not get dirty as quickly as cotton textiles, it is usually sufficient to air the textiles and only wash them when they are really dirty.
Always wash wool & silk on the wool cycle and make sure that the setting uses cold water, not 30 degrees. Basically, the older the washing machine is, the worse the wool program is, which can lead to problems. Also pay attention to the spin speed, it should be greatly reduced and no final spin should be set.
You should also use a high-quality, organic wool detergent and not a conventional one. Dry your woolen laundry lying on a towel and carefully pull it into shape after washing. Please never let your woolen clothes dry in the blazing sun, in the tumble dryer or on the radiator.
In the BabyBox, we use Disana's wool shampoo. It's particularly mild and ideal for all natural wool.
With our Joha products, we have had good experiences washing them at 30 degrees on a wool cycle. (but we do not assume any guarantee)
Briefly summarized:
- Sort laundry by colour, temperature and material
- Heavy-duty detergents and color detergents are sufficient as standard detergents
- Pay attention to the manufacturer's instructions for the amount of detergent to be used
- Select the washing program according to the information on the label
- Make sure the drum is filled correctly
Briefly summarized:
- Drying in the fresh air is best
- Do not hang sensitive materials in direct sunlight
- Dry the knit flat
- Ensure good ventilation
