To offer you the widest selection and best product availability, we sometimes ship your order in multiple partial deliveries.
This can happen when items are sent from both our online warehouse and our Berlin store, or when part of your order is shipped directly by one of our partner brands (dropshipping).
In this case, you’ll receive separate shipping confirmations, each with its own tracking link.
Of course, there are no additional shipping costs for you.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns with us are easy and straightforward.
Please register your return exclusively via our return portal:

For returns within Germany, we charge a flat return fee of €4.99, which will be automatically deducted from your refund amount.
The return portal is currently available only for returns from Germany.
Customers from other countries can contact us at info@babyboxfamily.com so we can arrange the return individually.
All returned items must be unworn, unwashed, and have their original tags attached.
Once your return has been checked, we’ll issue a refund via your original payment method, or — if you prefer — as store credit with a 5% bonus.

Products & Materials
Wool is a natural, breathable material that regulates moisture and keeps your baby warm without overheating – ideal for sensitive baby skin.
Merino wool comes from the merino sheep and is known for being extra fine, soft, and temperature-regulating.
It doesn’t itch, has antibacterial properties, and naturally neutralizes odors – perfect for everyday wear.
All our merino products are made from 100% wool (merino), are mulesing-free, and come from certified European farms.
The main difference lies in the feel and comfort: merino wool is finer and especially gentle – perfect for babies from day one.
Our recommendation: Always check the care label on your garment. Depending on the material blend and origin, care instructions may vary slightly.
How to care for merino and virgin wool:
Wool is naturally dirt-repellent thanks to the lanolin (wool fat) it contains, which allows dirt to roll off the fibers.
In most cases, it’s enough to simply air out the garment overnight.
Wash only when truly necessary – ideally cold or up to 30 °C on a wool cycle or by hand wash.
Use a mild wool detergent with lanolin to nourish the fibers.
Avoid fabric softener, wringing, or rubbing, as this can damage the fibers.
If spinning, use a low spin speed.
Dry the garment flat on a towel, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.

Choosing the right sleeping bag size is important to ensure your baby sleeps safely and comfortably.
The sleeping bag should not be too large — otherwise, your baby could slip inside — but also not too small, so they can move freely.
How to find the perfect size:
Measure your baby from shoulder to sole and add about 10 cm for freedom of movement.
Size guide:
50/56 → approx. 0–3 months
62/68 → approx. 3–6 months
74/80 → approx. 6–12 months
86/92 → approx. 12–24 months
98/104 → from approx. 2 years
Our sleeping bags are cut to grow with your baby, so you can use them comfortably over several months.

The sleeping bag and the clothing underneath should always be chosen based on the room temperature, not the season.
Regularly check the back of your baby’s neck to see if they are comfortably warm:
The skin should feel warm, but neither sweaty nor cool. Adjust the sleeping clothes accordingly.
Tip: On each of our Babybox sleeping bag product pages, you’ll find a clothing recommendation tailored to the material and room temperature.
If you’re unsure, you can also measure your baby’s core temperature rectally in the morning – it should be between 36.5 °C and 37.5 °C.
This helps you tell if your baby was too cold or too warm during the night.
Also pay attention to the materials – both for the sleeping bag and the layers underneath.
Natural fibers like wool or wool-silk are breathable, temperature-regulating, and moisture-balancing, helping to create a healthy and comfortable sleeping environment.
That way, your baby sleeps safely, securely, and at the perfect temperature – all year round.

Every Baby Box is carefully wrapped by hand and can be sent with an optional handwritten greeting card – making it the perfect gift for a birth or baby shower.
Our Baby Boxes are lovingly curated gift sets – we currently don’t offer personalization with names or embroidery.

For hygiene and quality reasons, we can’t reuse it – so it remains yours as a beautiful keepsake or storage box.

Sizing & Fit
The right size is important to make sure your baby can move freely and feel comfortable.
As a rule of thumb, your baby’s height in centimeters usually corresponds to the clothing size.
Example:
- Height approx. 56 cm → Size 50/56
- Height approx. 68 cm → Size 62/68
- Height approx. 80 cm → Size 74/80
If your baby is between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size — many of our products are designed to grow with your child and can be worn for several months.

Our own Babybox Collection generally fits true to size to slightly generous, as many pieces are designed to grow with your baby.
