Babybox Collection
Body made of wool & silk
It closes nicely high on the neck, keeps its shape even after frequent washing and is particularly skin-friendly and comfortable to wear thanks to the silk content.
Here they are, our first own bodysuits made of wool and silk. We have optimized the cut so that they close particularly high on the neck. The bodysuits in our collection are long and slim cut so that they hug the body comfortably, fit particularly long and make full use of the advantages of wool and silk. And most importantly, they keep their shape even after multiple washes.
Wool & silk as a material offers many advantages and we think it is the perfect material for little explorers. Wool & silk is:
- heat regulating
- dirt-repellent
- antibacterial
- with natural UV protection through the silk content
- leaves no microplastics behind when washing
For our wool & silk collection we used 85% wool & 15% silk from ecologically sustainable production in Europe. Our product is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, which means that it was produced without chemical and/or toxic agents and that the materials are of the highest quality. When selecting the wool, we attach great importance to the well-being of the sheep, which is why all of our products that contain wool are "mulesing free".
And the best thing about natural products like these is that they don't release microplastics when washed, which pollute our drinking water and the oceans. We have completely avoided plastic packaging in our production. In addition, our products come without hang tags/labels, as this is another auxiliary material that ends up in the trash immediately after purchase. Everything you need to know about our products can be found here and can be read at any time. We think this is much more sustainable.
Your baby and/or children can wear clothes made of wool and silk all year round. In winter, wool keeps you warm and is the perfect layer on your body, and in summer, silk provides a pleasantly cooling effect.
Our tip: Add lanolin to your wool detergent every 2nd or 3rd wash. This will ensure that the wool retains its natural oils and feels soft and cuddly for a long time.

Wool & Silk
Our recommendation to always read the care instructions in the respective garments, the special composition of the manufacturer and the origin of the materials often require individual care.
Basically, you should use a laundry bag for your wool laundry, this reduces the friction on the washing machine drum and thus the risk of felting. Textiles made of wool/silk do not get dirty as quickly as cotton textiles, it is usually sufficient to air the textiles and only wash them when they are really dirty.
Always wash wool & silk on the wool cycle and make sure that the setting uses cold water, not 30 degrees. Basically, the older the washing machine is, the worse the wool program is, which can lead to problems. Also pay attention to the spin speed, it should be greatly reduced and no final spin should be set.
You should also use a high-quality, organic wool detergent and not a conventional one. Dry your woolen laundry lying on a towel and carefully pull it into shape after washing. Please never let your woolen clothes dry in the blazing sun, in the tumble dryer or on the radiator.
In the BabyBox, we use Disana's wool shampoo. It's particularly mild and ideal for all natural wool.
With our Joha products, we have had good experiences washing them at 30 degrees on a wool cycle. (but we do not assume any guarantee)
