Quark wraps and white cabbage leaves against milk congestion: That's how it works!

Fight annoying breast engorgement with natural helpers from nature ? It's easier than you might think: both quark from the fridge and white cabbage can do a lot more than just cool. How to use them correctly for breast engorgement (and other inflammations) and what these home remedies are all about:

Curd wraps for stressed breasts

Quark has a decongestant, pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory and cooling effect. The lactic acid attracts inflammatory substances and promotes their discharge. The damp cold also has a pain-relieving and decongestant effect. As soon as the quark dries, the blood circulation is stimulated. A cooling quark wrap can be applied to all overheated, red, swollen and painful parts of the body - in this case also the chest!

What you need for that

250 g

Lowfat quark

2 sheets

Kitchen paper

That's how it works

Take the two pieces of kitchen paper, lay them on top of each other and cut out a small hole in the middle, roughly the size of your nipples. You should definitely avoid these so that the sensitive skin of the nipple is not softened and irritated. You can then spread the quark thickly on a sheet of kitchen paper - it should be about 1.5 cm, because the rule is: the thicker the better, as it then cools longer. You can then finish the “quark sandwich” with the second sheet of kitchen paper. This can already be cooled in the fridge and placed on the breast immediately after breastfeeding.

This method eliminates the tedious scraping and wiping of the dried quark from the skin - if you've done it before, you don't need to do it a second time! In addition, the quark wraps can also be prepared well in the form, so that they are directly available when you need them.

Tip: Your partner can give you great support here, you don't have to do it alone!

And here again for you in the video - how do I make a quark wrap at home:

White cabbage leaves against engorgement

The ingredients of white cabbage have a cooling, decongestant, anti-inflammatory, detoxifying and fungicidal (fungus-repellent) effect. Perfect for protecting and healing your chest.

How it works?

Simply place a leaf of white cabbage on your chest, bra over it and nature will take care of itself.

Tip: store white cabbage leaves in the fridge beforehand so that they are nice and cool, which is doubly pleasant.

Of course, there is a lot more you can do to prevent breast engorgement - to fight it, but also to prepare for it. There are more tips here!
