A classic newborn bonnet made from 85% Merino wool & 15% silk, in cream by Joha. It has a perfect fit for babies, snugly fitting their heads to keep them from getting cold. In the warm spring and summer, this bonnet is suitable for outdoor use. It's important that the bonnet fits well; if it's too large, it loses its warming function.

Wool & silk blends provide natural temperature regulation and keep your babies comfortably warm. Moisture, for example, from sweating, can be quickly absorbed and released, so your children won't get too cold.

Size & Fit: For newborns, we recommend the size 37cm - 0-1m.

For our Babybox Collection wool & silk products and our curated styles from Joha, we have had very good experiences with the following care method:

🧺 Machine Washing

• Use the wool cycle at max. 30 °C (86 °F)

• Select the lowest possible water temperature

• Reduce spin speed to max. 600 rpm

• No final high-speed spin

• Turn garments inside out

• Always use a laundry bag to reduce friction and prevent felting

⚠️ Please note: Washing programs vary depending on the machine. Especially older washing machines may not have a sufficiently gentle wool program. Therefore, we cannot guarantee this recommendation.

Always follow the care label inside the garment, as fiber origin and composition may vary by manufacturer.

Choosing the Right Detergent

• Use a high-quality wool detergent without enzymes

• Do not use fabric softener

• Follow the manufacturer’s dosage instructions carefully

We recommend the wool shampoo by Disana, as it is particularly mild and ideal for natural wool and wool-silk garments.

Don’t Forget Lanolin 🐑

If your detergent does not contain a re-fatting component, add a small amount of lanolin every second or third wash.

This helps maintain wool’s natural protective layer, keeping the fabric soft, elastic and durable.

Stain Treatment

• Pre-treat stains carefully with gall soap

• Avoid rubbing

• Wash afterwards using the wool cycle

Gentle handling protects the delicate fibers.

How to Dry Wool & Silk

• Gently reshape the garment after washing

• Lay flat on a towel to dry

• Do not tumble dry

• Do not dry on a radiator

• Avoid direct sunlight

For best results, allow the garment to dry in a well-ventilated area or outdoors in fresh air.
